Gary Marks Shares New Single ‘For Molly’s Sky’ From ‘Crossroads’
Gary Marks has released ‘For Molly’s Sky,’ the new single from ‘Crossroads,’ his new LP on Lantern Heights Records. The album was released in April as an official Record Store Day exclusive.
Crossroads brings together songs written between 1976 and 2021, including nine previously unreleased tracks. The album traces nearly five decades of Marks’s songwriting, with themes of power, compassion, freedom, and humanity running throughout.
The songs on each side of the record are arranged chronologically, beginning with material from 1976 and moving into songs from the 2020s. The format gives the album a clear sense of time and development, while showing how consistent Marks’s voice has remained.
Marks stepped away from touring and the music industry spotlight in the 1980s, but he continued to write songs. ‘Crossroads’ offers a rare look at that work, combining unreleased songs, rare tracks, and some of his strongest writing.
With ‘For Molly’s Sky,’ Marks shares another piece of an album that connects his early work with his more recent songs. ‘Crossroads’ is available as a limited vinyl pressing via Lantern Heights Records.
