Wenches return with their second full-length album, ‘Stupid Sick,’ a punishing rock and roll ripper of the highest caliber.

Following 2021’s ‘Effin’ Gnarly,’ ‘Stupid Sick’ was recorded by Carl Byers (Idiot, Graveripper) and mastered by the legendary Don Fury (Quicksand, Helmet), resulting in a powerful, full-throttle sound. This record is built on the foundations of bands like Motörhead, MC5, Dead Boys, and The Stooges.

With two members hailing from Midwestern noise-punk bands Racebannon and Medusa, Wenches have intensified their sound. The album features guest appearances from Chad Price (ALL, Drag the River) and Jonathan Newby (Brazil, Fixation Arc).

Vocalist James Bauman states the material was born from a period of struggle: “Several years in the making, I had to develop an addiction to alcohol, nearly destroy my family and check myself into rehab to get inspired and come up with lyrical content for this record.”
