BETS and van Bosch have shared ‘All Heart’, a new collaborative single out July 10.

BETS is the project of singer and director Betsy Hershey, while van Bosch is the musical name of Zanna van Vorstenbosch. The two first connected as friends and accountability partners while working on their own solo records. That working relationship later turned into a musical one, with van Bosch producing BETS’ forthcoming third album.

‘All Heart’ grew out of that friendship, and from time spent recording during off-hours in an East Village art gallery. The song is tied closely to climate activism, with BETS’ work on the forthcoming documentary ‘JUST LOOK UP’ feeding into the writing. Rather than making a heavy-handed protest song, the pair have written something more direct and human, a song about keeping feeling alive when the world keeps asking people to look away.

“This song is a love letter to the voices demanding a future right now,” BETS and van Bosch say.

They add:

“‘All Heart’ isn’t just a protest track; it’s a pulse. We wanted to capture the friction of right now—the energy of people refusing to stay silent and the raw ache of caring in an indifferent world. It’s an homage to the bravery of refusing to be numb, and to the collective spirit of community.”

The single takes its cue from the idea that art should answer the time it is made in. It is not a lecture. It is simply two artists using a song to stand with people who are trying to protect what comes next.

Proceeds from ‘All Heart’ will be donated to UPROSE and WE ACT for Environmental Justice, two New York organisations working around environmental justice and community action.
