A newly unearthed track from ’70s “lost discovery” Mad Anthony is about to drop.

Pulled from a long-lost WEBN radio compilation, this isn’t the gentle folk-rock you know from their recent release, ‘The Lost Tapes.’ Instead, it’s a deep, groove-heavy dive into the funky sound of their hometown, Cincinnati.

After recording their debut in Santa Barbara, the band returned to a city with an exploding funk scene. They hooked up with the legendary Fifth Floor Recording Studios, a hub for giants like the Ohio Players, and absorbed a whole new sound. This track is a direct result of that creative shift.

It arrives on the heels of ‘The Lost Tapes,’ which became a quiet sensation with over a million streams on the single ‘Rina.’ The album cemented Mad Anthony’s place as one of Ohio’s best-kept secrets.
