Brooklyn folk-rock trio Camp Bedford have shared a video for ‘Ships in the Night’, ahead of the single’s October 30 release.

The song will also appear on their forthcoming five-track EP ‘Polaroids on your wall’, due December 11 through Thanks in Part. The band features Roxanne Quilty on vocals and guitar, Kailey Prior on vocals and bass, and Rebekah Farr on drums. ‘Ships in the Night’ came about after a chance encounter with a former friend at a bar, which got them thinking about what it might be like to reconnect. “Maintaining a relationship with someone who seems eternally ‘lost at sea’ can feel impossible,” the trio explain. Despite the subject, they wanted to make something upbeat, a song that might make reaching out to someone again feel a little easier.

‘Polaroids on your wall’ is the first EP the band have produced themselves. Much of the material was written and recorded in rehearsal spaces, at home and while travelling, with Farr taking care of the arrangements and engineering.

Camp Bedford also released ‘Live From Denver’ in September, recorded during their tour earlier this year. They’ll be playing Alphaville in Brooklyn on November 4.
