The Middle People Share ‘Warmer In The Middle Of The Road’ Video From ‘Can You Feel The Moment: Best Of The Middle People’

The Middle People have shared a video for ‘Warmer In The Middle Of The Road’, a track from their compilation album ‘Can You Feel The Moment: Best Of The Middle People’.

Released through Real Records, the collection brings together songs from the duo’s previous releases, ‘Revenge Of The Killjoys’, ‘Dogmatists In Disguise’ and ‘Christmas With The Middle People’, along with three new tracks.

The project pairs Mikey Georgeson of David Devant & His Spirit Wife with Portuguese artist António Olaio. Since meeting in London in 2024, they have developed a collaboration that blends art-pop, electronic music, spoken word and humour.

That approach is reflected in ‘Warmer In The Middle Of The Road’. Georgeson has said the song started with a simple thought while slightly stoned: if there is a streetlight in the middle of the road, is it actually warmer there? The track takes that idea and turns it into a playful piece of electronic art-pop.

The compilation also features ‘Can You Feel The Moment?’, ‘Things Change’, ‘Fly (Poetry)’ and ‘God’s Planet’. ‘Things Change’ includes drums from The Professor of David Devant & His Spirit Wife, while ‘God’s Planet’ features music written by Georgeson’s son Arthur.

The Middle People have released three albums and a Christmas record since forming. ‘Can You Feel The Moment: Best Of The Middle People’ serves as an introduction to the duo’s work, bringing together music that combines pop, visual art and unconventional ideas.
