Pink Fuzz Share New Single ‘Manipulator’

Denver three-piece Pink Fuzz return with ‘Manipulator’, a standalone single out June 16 via Permanent Teeth.

Led by John Demitro on guitar and vocals, LuLu Demitro on bass, vocals and synth, with Will Trafas on drums, Pink Fuzz have made a bit of a name for themselves playing hard, fast, straight-ahead heavy rock. The band call it “high-speed desert rock”, and that’s a fair description… low-tuned guitars and plenty of fuzz!!

‘Manipulator’ follows last year’s ‘Resolution’, the record that snapped a four-year silence and reminded everyone just how much noise three people can make. This new one feels like the band kicking the door back open. John’s baritone guitar drags a thick trail of grit behind it, LuLu and Will keep everything locked in and moving, and somewhere inside all that racket is a melody that worms its way into your head. It’s the kind of song that makes you want to turn the volume up another notch, even when you already know it’s too loud.

The single was recorded at Cauldron Audio Works, engineered by Riley Rukavina, mixed by Ben McLeod of All Them Witches, and mastered by Mikey Allred at Dark Art Audio. The artwork was created by Katy Black of Spoonbenders.

Pink Fuzz have spent the last few years putting serious miles on the van, sharing stages with The Sword, Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol, Black Pistol Fire and Earth Tongue. You can hear that road-tested confidence all over ‘Manipulator’.
