Petrolio Announces New Album ‘Club Atletico Voces Y Gritos’ And Single ‘La Picana’
Petrolio, the solo project of Italian experimental musician Enrico Cerrato, will release ‘Club Atletico Voces Y Gritos’ on June 12, 2026 via Subsound Records.
The album takes its title and concept from Club Atlético, one of the clandestine detention, torture and extermination centres used during Argentina’s 1976 to 1983 military dictatorship. Built from five pieces composed and performed by Petrolio, the record moves through industrial, noise and dark ambient terrain, with each track shaped around a different guest voice.
The album features Alòs, the solo project of Stefania Pedretti of OvO, Bestial Mouths, led by Lynette Cerezo, Julinko, the project of Giulia Parin Zecchin, Pallas Athene, the project of Canadian artist Breanna Johnston, and Pierpaolo Capovilla, known for his work with One Dimensional Man and Il Teatro degli Orrori.
The first single, ‘La Picana,’ arrives on May 15, 2026 and features Capovilla on vocals. Its title refers to the electric torture device used in Argentina’s detention centres. Over Petrolio’s abrasive electronics and scorched textures, Capovilla turns the subject into a piece about confinement, violence and the instinct to escape.
‘Club Atletico Voces Y Gritos’ will be available on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
