Masnadero Announces Debut Album ‘Masnada Classica’
Masnadero is the new project from Alessio Del Donno, an Italian guitarist, singer-songwriter, composer, and documentary filmmaker known for his work in the underground scene.
From 2013 to 2021, Del Donno played bass and guitar with 23 And Beyond The Infinite, the Benevento-based garage psych and shoegaze band. He later founded the industrial noise duo Faintin’ Goats, and is also part of the Bologna free improv noise collective Tuareg Calliope.
His debut album as Masnadero, ‘Masnada Classica,’ will be released on May 22, 2026 via the Apulian DIY label and collective Stand Alone Complex. The album is written in English and features 10 songs built around classical guitar, folk melodies, desert-like arrangements, free jazz details, and the restless spirit of flamenco.
The sound moves between folk-flamenco and punk attitude, with traces of Nick Drake, Elliott Smith, and Howe Gelb in its quieter, more melancholic moments.
