Julian Hacquebard of Send Medicine Returns With Pyrenees Love Triangle’s ‘Babylon’
Julian Hacquebard, of Send Medicine, the best psychedelic pop outfit too many listeners have never heard of, has once again stepped over the line with his new project Pyrenees Love Triangle, releasing ‘Babylon.’
…an exciting intoxicating adventure that caresses a foundation of pure musical rhythms, parts of which you’ll instantly recognize as being deeply buried in later Send Medicine numbers. All and all, this is pure psychedelia, embracing dancehall attributes along with textures that hark-back those luscious Madchester nights, divining immersive tensions that ebb & flow within a surreal construct of steady pulses that flower, fold in on themselves and then flower over and over again, being simply impossible not to be swept away or raptured by.
The music is transportive, graceful, restrained and expansive, delivered with emotional clarity though sonic layering, pushing wildly yet comfortably in all directions at once, visioning the dream with the dream, a surreal soundscape that wraps itself around you with sheer hedonistic pleasure.
