Exclusive track premiere of ‘UN’ESTATE’ by Italian collective TO DIE ON ICE, taken from their forthcoming album ‘PANORAMICA DEGLI ABISSI,’ out February 6, 2026 via Subsound Records.

TO DIE ON ICE operates like an artistic collective. Founded in 2021, it brings together former members of action dead mouse, ominoacidi, what contemporary means and oracle, functioning as an open laboratory where music becomes a starting point for broader experimentation. The group unites different backgrounds and sensibilities under the banner of “Lynch Core,” a self-defined aesthetic poised between sentimental excess and unease, where the seductive and disturbing atmospheres of the Black Lodge and Club Silencio meet anti-technical minimalism, shadowy noir jazz, blues and soul expansions, and crooner vocals that fracture into sudden, visceral screams.

‘PANORAMICA DEGLI ABISSI’ (translated as Pan of the Abyss) unfolds as a parallel narrative to a story of the same name written by Filippo Dionisi, illustrated by comic artist Vitt Moretta, and published in a bilingual Italian–English edition by Edizioni Fantasma. Set in a surreal, post–New Year’s Eve limbo, the novel follows Paul and Bacall as their paths — along with their hidden fears and destinies — intersect on the edge of an overpass, escalating into a feverish race inside a car that morphs into a glowing submarine propelled toward the unknown. Rather than treating the album as a conventional soundtrack, the band approaches it as a transformation of the same narrative material through another medium: sound. The wider project also includes a visual album written by Dionisi and directed by Lulù Withheld, released on VHS.
