Lips of Strangers Drop ‘On and On Forever’ from New EP, ‘Too Long For Lovers’
In a dreamy world of synth and shoegaze, New Jersey’s Lips of Strangers are back, casting another spell with their latest single, ‘On and On Forever.’
This hypnotic track is a taste of their upcoming sophomore EP, ‘Too Long For Lovers,’ and it shows the band’s ability to mix ethereal with heartfelt songwriting. Frontman Spencer Miles calls the song a “darkness and a light,” a dedication to his wife and a reflection on two vastly different periods of his life. It’s a deeply personal story, one that the band, comprised of seasoned performers who’ve toured with the likes of Hot Chip and Ra Ra Riot, weaves into a shimmering indie-pop gem.
‘Too Long For Lovers’ is set to be the second of two EPs from the group this year. Their five-track compendium promises a pilgrimage through emotional introspection. ‘On and On Forever’ is a beautiful next step.
