‘Too Long For Lovers’ by Lips of Strangers

Lips of Strangers, the New Jersey-based indie dream-pop outfit, are back with their second release of 2025: the announcement of their sophomore EP, ‘Too Long For Lovers.’

Though newly formed, the band’s members are no strangers to the stage—having toured with acts like Hot Chip, French Horn Rebellion, Pink Flamingo Rhythm Review, and Ra Ra Riot.

The five-track EP showcases the talents of Spencer Miles (guitar, bass, keys, vocals), Kate Victor (keys, vocals), Zach Abramson (bass), Tim Alworth (drums), and Jim Orso (drums, percussion). A triple threat, Miles also produced the record and serves as the group’s frontman.

‘Too Long For Lovers’ marks their second EP release in 2025, following their self-titled debut earlier this year. Initially written to expand their live set, four new songs were tested and refined on stage before hitting the studio—allowing live performance energy to shape the recordings. A fifth track, the title song ‘Too Long For Lovers,’ was added during the process and now serves as the EP’s lead single.

Lead single ‘Too Long For Lovers’ is a dreamy, synth-driven, and emotionally charged pop moment—glowing with warm 1980s nostalgia while keeping one foot firmly planted in the present.

Lips of Strangers will celebrate the release with their NYC live debut at Footlight Underground at Windjammer in Ridgewood, Queens, on Thursday, August 21st at 8:30pm.
