Toronto multi-instrumentalist Liam Colbert, better known as Rise Carmine, has signed with Paper Bag Records and announced a new EP arriving later this fall.

Formerly releasing music under the moniker Patiohawk, Colbert resurfaced in 2022 with ‘No Coup For Anyone,’ a debut produced by Grammy-winner Dave Schiffman (Weezer, PUP, Vampire Weekend).

Now, he returns with ‘Come In Closer,’ a slow-burning swirl of psychedelic textures and hypnotic groove that leans into early ’90s alt-rock while carving out its own slippery space. It’s the sound of an artist not just looking back, but reimagining an entire era through a modern lens.
