Montreal singer-songwriter Pompey has announced his fourth LP ‘I’m Scared,’ out September 5th, alongside the release of its lead single, ‘Really Really Really Big Sweater.’

The gentle, folk-tinged track explores the discomfort of change and the search for comfort in familiar things.

Pompey explains the song reflects his post-pandemic struggle to balance solitude and connection: “I had to weigh the comfort of solitude against the comfort of togetherness and find a sustainable balance.”

Having long been part of Montreal’s music scene (performing with artists like Thanya Iyer and Emilie Kahn), Pompey is now gaining wider recognition…with a recent shoutout from SZA and a growing fanbase.

I’m Scared was co-produced with Thanya Iyer and features a host of collaborators including Cedric Noel, Emilie Kahn, and Brigitte Naggar. The album is an intimate reflection on fear, comfort, and reconnecting with the world.
