Donella Drive Unveils ‘Terlingua’ from Forthcoming Album ‘Axon’
San Antonio’s Donella Drive has spent more than a decade carving their own path, and their latest single ‘Terlingua’ shows just how far they’ve come.
Formed in 2012 by brothers Aidan Escalante and Andrew Salazar, the band has built a reputation for fearless songwriting. Over the years, they’ve shared the stage with everyone from global icons like Megadeth, Deftones, and Scorpions to modern heavy-hitters such as Dead Poet Society and Protest The Hero.
With ‘Terlingua,’ Donella Drive channels the energy that have fueled their career, while adding a more introspective edge. The track is deliberate with every riff, rhythm, and vocal line feels purposeful, driving the listener forward while leaving space to absorb the details. Escalante’s role as both frontman and guitarist gives the song a tightly woven core, while Salazar’s bass work digs the momentum.
This single is part of their forthcoming album ‘Axon,’ set for release on August 22, 2025. From their debut ‘Anomalous’ to the bold turns of ‘Bloomer,’ they’ve continually evolved, and ‘Axon’ promises to be their most fully realized work yet. ‘Terlingua’ captures that evolution in a way that feels both fresh and unmistakably their own.
Axon is available for pre-order now, and with ‘Terlingua’ leading the way, Donella Drive is ready to deliver their most compelling chapter yet.
