Kitchen Lover Drop Fuzzed-Out Frenzy ‘Black Hole Heart’ Ahead of Debut LP ‘The Circus Sideshow Dream’
Brighton’s own Kitchen Lover are dropping a brand new banger today, May 30th, called ‘Black Hole Heart.’
If you’ve been riding the wave of their garage-punk energy, this one’s gonna hit different. This track is the first taste of their upcoming debut album, ‘The Circus Sideshow Dream.’ And let us tell you, with Erik Miles (you know, the wizard behind SOFT PLAY and Kate Nash) on production, ‘Black Hole Heart’ is packing some serious fuzzy riffs, tight drums, and angsty vocals. Think Shame with a dash of The Black Keys’ bluesy grit. It’s got this spiraling chaos that just pulls you in.
The band themselves spilled a little tea on the track, hinting at a “sickened heart” occupied by fear and delusion – deep stuff! “The twisted & accurate story of a sickened heart, whose body is occupied by a man so full of fear, delusion and self absorption that he’s completely incapable of receiving or giving love to anyone, even himself. Many speculate the classified information of a malnourished childhood, ill loving parents, cruel siblings. This being something I’m unable to comment on. There is one thing I do know, this man is in a much, much deeper state of pain than the ones he inflicts pain on.”
After tearing up nearly 50 stages last year and snagging support slots with Getdown Services and Gen & The Degenerates, these guys are clearly on a mission. They’re even opening for Frankie and The Witch Fingers and O. soon.
‘The Circus Sideshow Dream’ is penciled in for September, and Erik Miles isn’t just producing – he’s playing on it too!
They’ve got some killer dates coming up, including Alt Escape and a headline gig at Rossi Bar on June 3rd for The B-Scene magazine release party.
