‘Sing You Lullabies’ Is a Sun-Faded Dream from Ground Cinnamon Band’s Upcoming EP

Steeped in the golden hues of Laurel Canyon nostalgia, Ground Cinnamon Band returns with their second single ‘Sing You Lullabies’—a dreamy, harmony-soaked drift into sun-dappled psych-folk.

Premiering ahead of their debut EP on Sound Effect Records this summer, the track captures the trio’s blend of lush vocal layering, shimmering 12-string guitar, and a warmth that feels both familiar and fresh.

The video, filmed and edited by Gijs de Jong, matches the song’s gentle pull, wrapping it in soft light and a homespun kind of intimacy. Ground Cinnamon Band formed after the end of The Small Breed, with Erik Bus teaming up with his partner Carlijn and longtime collaborator Jan Kappé. Together, they began leaning more into folk and country while still holding onto the rich, melodic sound they’ve always been drawn to.

Inspired by bands like The Mamas and the Papas, Buffalo Springfield, and The Millennium, their music features vocal harmonies front and center, wrapped in pedal steel, vibraphone, and the occasional mellotron. Sing You Lullabies feels like a quiet memory you didn’t know you missed until it was playing right in front of you.
