The vinyl edition comes in two stunning variants: transparent and purple splatter, and each purchase includes a set of custom tarot cards. Celebrate the vinyl launch with DRLCT at Le Port Franc club in Sion on September 21st.

DRLCT is the solo endeavor of Swiss musician Fantin Reichler, known for his work with The Kompressor Experiment and Méandre. Médée comprises four tracks, each a poignant reflection on Reichler’s mother’s battle with cancer, which ended on September 5, 2022. Reichler channeled his grief into music, finding solace and purpose through composition.

“On September 5 2022, my mom died after a three-year losing battle with cancer. In order to cope with her brutal death, I started writing a lot of music, just to have a purpose, something to pour my sparse energy in” tells Fantin.

The album’s tracks offer a deep, emotional journey:

‘Asunder’ – A slow-burning, guitar-driven piece that embodies the initial anger and disbelief of confronting a terminal diagnosis.
‘Un jour en Octobre’ – A nostalgic yet dark track symbolizing the cancer’s advance to the brain.
‘Flow Your Tears, That Bluebird Said’ – An electronica ballad capturing acceptance and the longing for release.
‘Interlinked’ – A portrayal of the final, agonizing steps toward peace.

The album was recorded and mixed by Ludovic Volper, with mastering by Christoph Noth. The evocative artwork is by joel__rgb, graphic design by Tomas Defago, and the logo by Fantin Reichler, with photography by Morgane Raposo.
