Exclusive album premiere of ‘House of Pain’ by Las Historias, slated for release on August 2, 2024, via Electric Valley Records.

‘House of Pain’ is a tantalizing demo ahead of the heavy psych trio’s second full-length album. Straight out of Córdoba, Argentina, Las Historias fuses Hendrix’s wild guitar, ’60s bluesy psychedelia, and doom-heavy riffs into a potent brew.

Formed in 2018, when Tomas met drummer Juan in Córdoba City, the band grew from Tomas’s past projects in Laboulaye. They rounded out the trio with bassist Manuel in 2019. Their debut came in April 2020 with a self-titled EP, later expanded into a full album drenched in psychedelic madness.

After four years of sonic experiments, lineup tweaks, and live gigs, Las Historias recorded ‘House of Pain’ as a preview of their evolving sound. This demo captures a raw, meditative vibe, blending hazy psychedelia with bursts of energy. Recorded mostly with two SM57 mics, tracks ‘The Way I Am’ and ‘Nomad’ used just one. Tomas shares, “After that I lost my guitar so I couldn’t continue recording … tragic story but I will get that beautiful Stratocaster back!””
