‘Little Red Peugeot’ is the new single by Californian musician and poet Caleb Nichols, featuring Ellis Jones from Trust Fund, and is released digitally today on Glasgow-based label Heavenly Creatures Records.

For the first two weeks, the single is exclusively available on Bandcamp, with all proceeds going to Care For Gaza, a mutual aid fund supporting families in Palestine.

“It’s really not much,” says Nichols, “but I hope we can pool our money and help a bit.” Recorded in Oakland at Brothers (Chinese) Recording, the track was engineered and mixed by Jay Pellicci, with Aaron Kroeger on drums, John Metz on bass, and Ellis Jones singing the choruses and the second verse.

Caleb continues: “In April 2023 I did a bunch of solo shows all over the UK, mostly supporting Trust Fund, which was Ellis and Celia, doing songs as a duo. My friend James drove me round in his Little Red Peugeot, and sold merch. It was one of those trips that’s like once in a lifetime? Top 10 for me, for sure. So it seemed natural to memorialize it in song. Of course, as with anything I do, it’s a sort of fiction. Everything is, I think.”
