‘Saturnia’ by AyahuascA | New Album

Exclusive video premiere of ‘Saturnia’ by Italian psych-rock band AyahuascA.

“The son of Saturn gave the nod with his dark brows. The ambrosial curls upon the Sovereign One’s immortal head were shaken, and with them the mighty mount, Olympus trembled.”

Rock’n’Roll Summer Camp was born in 2017, from Carlo Izzo of Retro Vox Records, to be realized for the first time in 2018 thanks to the support of Alberto Callegari (Elfo Recording Studio) and Kinoki Media. The bands participating in the camping can record songs live, sharing the same backline. The songs are then released by Retro Vox Records in a compilation, on limited edition vinyl and on all digital platforms. ‘Rock’n’Roll Summer Camp Volume 2’, to be released in mid-September 2021 and derived from the 2019 edition, is now launched by the video of Saturnia, the new single by AyahuascA.

The video was shot in September 2020 by the film-maker Andrea Alberici, in full pandemic, when the streets were empty and moving by car was ideal. “In the midst of the limitations, to ‘exorcise’ the situation, we decided to realize a sort of tribute to the concept of deprivation. Saturn is symbolically linked to these themes, so we thought of creating a character and to immerse him in a dystopian world where five shady agents of Saturn make fun of him, to the point of driving him out of his mind”.

‘Saturnia’ is also the first single taken from the forthcoming second album by AyahuascA. The lyrics are a spontaneous reflection on the allegorical argument of the Truth revealed by Time. The motif of Time (an old man with an hourglass) revealing the Truth (visualized as a winged creature looking at itself in a mirror) establishes a victory of the latter over Deception, favoring the triumph of the divine Felicitas.
