Brooklyn-based indie pop artist BETS, the name used by musician and filmmaker Betsy Hershey, returns with new single ‘I’ll Make You Mine’ on 29 May.

The song is the first track to be taken from her upcoming LP. It’s about wanting love, wanting your people close, and wanting your dreams enough to go after them. BETS keeps it light and direct, turning that feeling of longing into bright indie pop.

“This song is about how fun it is to just want,” says BETS. “To want love, to want your people, to want your dreams. Being in that state of yearning and creating is a beautiful place to be.”

‘I’ll Make You Mine’ also appears on the soundtrack to Just Look Up, BETS’ new climate activism documentary, directed with Emma Wall. The film receives its North American premiere at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.

BETS has been releasing music for more than a decade, building a steady following with her mix of indie pop, shoegaze and alternative sounds. Her new album is being made with artist and producer van Bosch, and is centred on love, creativity and the need to keep making things.
