Maniac Maison Announce New Album And Share ‘New Museum’ Video
Maniac Maison brings together three Brussels based musicians with deep jazz roots and a shared love for off kilter electronic sound.
The trio of Shoko Igarashi, Casimir Liberski and Lucien Fraipont of Robbing Millions treat the project like a bright, strange laboratory for melody, rhythm and machines.
Their music sits somewhere between avant pop, synth play, jazz harmony and DIY electronics. You can hear echoes of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Telex, old Japanese video game music and classical composition, but the sound is very much their own: playful, detailed and full of odd little sparks.
The band will release their new album on Humpty Dumpty Records on May 22. Ahead of the release, they have shared a new track, ‘New Museum,’ along with a video directed by Canek Zapata.
