LA Multi-Instrumentalist Reza Safinia Announces LP, Shares ‘I Feel U’
Five years after the paired release ‘Yin and Yang’ in 2021, Reza Safinia surfaces again with ‘I Feel U.’
The track leans into a late-night club atmosphere, heavy on tension and proximity without physical presence. A pulsing low end carries it forward while warped synth lines flicker in and out, never settling for long.
London-raised, now based in Los Angeles, he’s spent years moving between scenes without settling into one. His CV runs from sessions with Dr. Dre to scoring TV work like Warrior. Along the way he’s built a setup that mixes live instruments with a growing collection of analog synths, pushing everything through a fairly hands-on, slightly obsessive process.
The vocal sits high and close, almost fragile. “I feel you, I need you, I feel your energy through the screen.” The phrasing lands plainly, without ornament, which gives the line a different kind of weight. It points to a loop many people know well. Screens stand in for touch. Memory stands in for presence. Old photos and videos keep resurfacing, not as archives but as active companions.
The arrangement builds in layers, then strips itself apart. Toward the end, the structure breaks down into something less controlled. Envelopes snap and stretch. Tones smear into each other. It feels less like a drop and more like a system glitching under pressure. Acid textures cut through in the final stretch, sharp and unstable, before the track pulls itself back just enough to close.
‘I Feel U’ opens the door to ‘1/∞,’ a double album structured around four elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Air. The framing suggests contrast as a core mechanic. Opposites held side by side, not resolved. The release is set for August 2026.
