Yawning Man Unveils ‘Bomba Negra’ from Their Haunting New Album ‘Pavement Ends’
From the dusty crucible where sun-bleached highways dissolve into sand and silence, Yawning Man returns with a resounding echo.
Their upcoming album, ‘Pavement Ends,’ is a seismic shift, a collaboration between founders Gary Arce and Mario Lalli that feels less like this isn’t the familiar, sun-dazed sprawl of their past; but a descent into the deepest shades of their sonic palette, a journey where the beautiful and the bleak become one.
The premiere track, ‘Bomba Negra,’ is a masterpiece of emotional gravity, a subterranean ripple… an exploration of the emotional undertow, where tension coils and releases in a cycle of mesmerizing unease. The band’s signature desert rock is stripped bare, revealing a potent core filled with haunting atmosphere.
Complemented by the band’s first collaboration with Joshua Tree artist Diane Bennett, whose cover painting serves as a visual portal into this new, darker world, ‘Pavement Ends’ is poised to be a transmission from the void. The album is coming out November 14, but you can pre-order ‘Pavement Ends’ here!
