Native Sun Unleash Single ‘No’ Ahead of Upcoming Album ‘Concrete Language’
New York City-based band Native Sun has announced their upcoming album ‘Concrete Language,’ which will be released on September 19th via TODO.
Along with the announcement, they have shared their powerful new single ‘No’ and revealed a North American tour supporting Bass Drum of Death. The tour includes stops at Baby’s All Right in New York City on October 4th and DC9 in Washington DC on October 8th.
“‘No’ captures the tension of trying to hold on to yourself while the world is pulling you in different directions,” the band explains. “It’s the feeling of swinging between overload and emptiness, between faith and disillusionment. You’re searching for a foothold while the ground keeps shifting beneath you.”
Native Sun’s sound combines garage rock and art rock with the energy of early punk. On ‘No,’ they explore unrest through dynamic shifts that move from quiet restraint to explosive bursts, blurring the line between control and collapse. The track was produced, mixed, and additionally recorded by Jonathan Schenke, who has worked with Parquet Courts, Bodega, Snail Mail, and The Drums. Mastering was done by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound with engineering by Jeremy Snyder.
The single ‘No’ is available now via TODO and Concrete Language will be released on September 19th.
