Hollywood Porn Stars Return with ‘Bad Movie’ Ahead of ‘Endless Age’
Hollywood Porn Stars have released ‘Bad Movie’, the first single from ‘Endless Age’, arriving November 6 through Le Cèpe Records and Young Rock.
It has been a very long wait for a new Hollywood Porn Stars album. The Liège band released two records through Naïve in the 2000s, played hundreds of shows, and then more or less disappeared.
They returned to the stage last year, and now there is finally new music.
‘Bad Movie’ is the first song from ‘Endless Age’. The title comes from that familiar feeling of watching everything around you become increasingly absurd while being unable to do much about it. There is some humour in the idea, but not much comfort.
The video was directed by Guillaume Van Ngoc.
The album itself was made quickly. Hollywood Porn Stars wrote the material in fifteen days and recorded it in five. Reinhard Vanbergen of Das Pop recorded the sessions, John Goodmanson mixed the album, and Rémy Lebbos mastered it.
Goodmanson’s name will be familiar from records by Blonde Redhead, Nada Surf and Sleater-Kinney.
‘Endless Age’ will be the band’s third album and their first in twenty years.
