David Aaron Greenberg Debuts Hypnotic New Single ‘Chill’
Multidisciplinary artist, poet, and singer-songwriter David Aaron Greenberg returns today with the release of ‘Chill,’ a hypnotic, sleek, and psychedelic hip-hop track that serves as the lead single for his upcoming project, ‘Trap Poems.’
Clocking in at just under three minutes, ‘Chill0 is a masterclass in mood. The track oscillates between sensuality and danger, mystery and desire, evoking a palpable sense of uncertainty that draws the listener deeper into Greenberg’s world. It is the first glimpse into the Trap Poems project…a term Greenberg coined to describe “a fresh approach to lyrical poetry,” set for full release on April 3, 2026.
‘Chill’ sets the stage for a dialogue between word and form, pushing literary structures firmly into the current musical landscape.
Trap Poems represents the newest chapter in the creative partnership between Greenberg and producer David Sisko. The two first joined forces in the late 1990s as Disco Pusher, a NYC-based duo that wrote for international artists including reggae legend Toots Hibbert (Toots and the Maytals) and Brooklyn artist Sandflower.
With this new project, the duo expands on contemporary oral traditions. They continue the lineage of Jazz and Nuyorican poets of the late 20th century, reinterpreting that legacy through a modern, beat-driven lens.
