Dom Mariani Unveils Final Single ‘Breaking Point’ Ahead of New Album ‘Apple of Life!’
Dom Mariani, the frontman of The Stems, DM3, and Datura4, returns to share his latest single, ‘Breaking Point,’ from his upcoming solo album, out October 31 via Alive Naturalsound Records.
Recorded in Fremantle, Western Australia, this new album showcases Dom Mariani’s undiminished gift for melody and the classic power-pop style that powered his work with The Stems, DM3, and The Someloves.
The track ‘Apple Of Life’ is a standout, shimmering with the irresistible, hook-filled pleasures that define truly great pop music.
Despite its sunny production, the song’s origins are pure New York grit. Mariani notes, “The song had been floating around for a while with what started out as some lyrical ideas while on a subway train in New York a few years back.” He explains that the “sense of urgency and chaos I felt on that ride fueled the narrative,” which then fit seamlessly with the “tough guitar progression already in my head.”
The result is a pop revelation, born in the Big Apple’s tunnels and perfected on the Western Australian coast.
