‘I Can Stop Anytime I Like’ by Stumbleine | New Album, ‘Deleted Scene’
British musician Stumbleine introduces ‘I Can Stop Anytime I Like,’ the inaugural track from his forthcoming 8th album, ‘Deleted Scene,’ slated for release on June 14 via Monotreme Records.
This single blends captivating sampled vocals with gentle, crystalline guitars, evoking a reflective reservoir of listeners’ memories.
Operating under the moniker Stumbleine, Peter Cooper, rooted in the UK post-rock scene, commenced his journey of melding slow, dreamlike pop with fragmented lo-fi beats back in 2012. Within his sonic realm, melancholic R&B vocals sway over submerged guitar melodies, while sandblasted samples intertwine with fractured beats, crafting music imbued with a delicate, nostalgic allure. Stumbleine is renowned for his DIY approach, distributing music directly to fans or through the independent label Monotreme Records.
‘Deleted Scene’ is set to launch digitally on June 14th, accompanied by a CD version housed in a color-printed slipcase cover and a limited vinyl edition of 300 copies on 180g white vinyl, available for pre-order at this link.
