‘The 6:09’ by Vanderwolf | New Album, ‘The Great Bewilderment’

Exclusive video premiere of ‘The 6:09’ by Vanderwolf, taken from the upcoming album, ‘The Great Bewilderment,’ out March 13th.

LA-by-way-of-NYC psych-rocker Vanderwolf shares the second single off of his fiery new LP titled ‘The Great Bewilderment’. Following last month’s expansive lead single titled, ‘Sweep Away The Shards,’ today, Vanderwolf is releasing his new track, ‘The 6:09’. The song sees Vanderwolf’s vocals soar across acoustic verses, piecing together a critique of modern society in the form of a psychedelic-folk-rock ballad. The track is accompanied by a music video created by Alden Volney, which see’s a series of “satisfying” animations take a dark and twisted turn.

Describing the record on the whole, Vanderwolf said, “The Great Bewilderment is a complexly layered reflection of my recent years courting chaos and rootlessness, arriving, leaving, settling and unsettling. It’s a collection of interweaving hello’s and goodbye’s. It’s about leaving certain things behind and, conversely, claiming those things that can be known in the here and now. It’s about coming to terms with a sense of place — after a long period of exile and some self-imposed restlessness. Finally, it is about what can be known. And what can be appreciated as truly valuable in this world despite the bewildering context of war and mass extinction.”
