Cookie Tongue is a band based in New Orleans, formed in 2011. There has been a rotating cast of members over the years including dancers and puppeteers. The visual and performative aspect is equally important to the music in Cookie Tongue as you will see in the video which was shot by academy award winning filmmaker John Mattiuzzi and Omer Gal founder of the band. Omer Gal’s musical menagerie experiment Cookie Tongue bleeds out creativity in many facets all flowing together to bring life to one unified body of work. A body that is open for others to adorn as their own skin for a mesmerizing whimsical journey filled with strange songs, unexpected puppet interventions, looped sonic textures and original animations.
