Exclusive track premiere of ‘Wanna Be Sure’ by Anthony Gaser, taken from the upcoming album, ‘Read the Signs,’ out June 23rd.

Anthony Gaser’s ‘Read the Signs’ sounds like the golden age of soft R&B radio hits playing at dusk of the most perfect day as you relax; starting with the soaring, psychically confident ‘Wanna Be Sure,’ these songs are a stack of sweet soul-disco Nautilus pop. And yet there’s a slight street rock vibe throughout that lets you know life is more than a two-lane blacktop.

San Fernando Valley-based, with an ever-increasingly funky and smooth sound crafted over four previous EPs and eleven singles, on ‘Read The Signs’ Gaser creates music for the spiritually thirsty, craving love and acceptance but never losing hope. As he says about the release’s title, “Reading the signs. Don’t miss signs of opportunity, once you pass them, you might not get it back.”

All the writing, music played and production on the new release is by Gaser himself — astonishingly as it sounds as deep and gleaming as LA-perfect Steely Dan sunshine perfection – at his own home studio.

As Gaser sums it up, this is all about “ups and downs, hopeless romantic encounters as well as hopeful ones. The struggles of not being a full-time musician. Hoping for that transition to only be able to focus on music.”
