Exclusive video premiere of ‘Pistol Shrimp’ by Buss, the second single taken from their upcoming album, ‘Aroused’, out November 2022.

Buss are a heavy rock trio from Trieste full of fuzzy sounds wrapped with stoner riffs. Formed already in high school, the trio is inspired by the underground scene from the 70’s and the 90’s. In 2020 they recorded an EP and introduced themselves to the public. The band is planning to release their debut album in November 2022 with the help of Rocket Panda Management.

“Deep in the ocean, where darkness reigns supreme and light is unknown, lives an evil creature: the pistol shrimp. Evolution developed on this tiny shrimp, something similar to a gun, that shoots high pressured water and doesn’t leave any prey alive. Even German U-Boats got terrified when the shotgun screamed. Our second single ‘Pistol Shrimp’ ain’t some kind of National Geographic documentary song. What we found extremely fascinating was, how can a tiny creature that seems easily vulnerable, can become the worst nightmare for bigger prey and predators. That fact can be easily humanized. Most of the time, the bullied can become the most successful or even the most dangerous.”

The album was recorded at Truck Terminal Studio, mixed by James Atkinson at The Stationhouse in the U.K. and mastered by Claudio Pisi.

The band about the album making: Whatever happened in the past two years, clearly showed that we probably chose the worst historical period to make and enjoy music. ‘Aroused’ was the right word to describe our mood: lustful, provocative and disappointed. Sexy women’s fingers on the cover, can clearly describe our pleasure in our music, but still uncomfortable with our times. Our riffs were recorded with only heavy vintage classic instruments and even with prototypes. Nothing strange if at some point the bass cabinet burned down…”
