‘Not Quite My Tempo’ by Country Feedback | New Album, ‘Intermission’
Exclusive video premiere of ‘Not Quite My Tempo’ by Country Feedback, taken from the upcoming album, ‘Intermission’, March 11th 2022 via MiaCameretta Records.
‘Not Quite My Tempo’ starts from cinematic cues, as often happens for the music of Country Feedback (the title is borrowed from ‘Whiplash’ and the text makes direct references to ‘Dead Poets Society’), and describes with autobiographical touch a life path focused on change; the ironic metaphor of the tennis match disturbed by external agents that undermine its rigorous balance represents the evolution of the protagonist through time.
It was made by Jasmine Colarossi and interpreted by Antonio Tortorello himself and Lucia Scaccia together with a large series of supporting actors.

Antonio Tortorello is a multi-instrumentalist belonging to the Italian underground music scene since the early 90s and since then, in various areas, He identifies himself with the moniker Country Feedback (from the R.E.M. song). He played the bass for various projects (such as the keyboard in other bands), composed soundtracks, has been festival’s and live clubs’ art director and founded 7 Training Days (historical band of his own territory; he published 3 albums and 1 ep over 11 years with them). After all this, he “went out on his own” writing a handful of songs and composing his debut solo album, ‘Season Premiere’, published by MiaCameretta Records at the beginning of 2020, excellently received by critics and specialized press with numerous positive valuable reviews; it also appeared in several year-end lists. About two years later Country Feedback returns with a new album that develops and evolves the lyrical and sound concepts expressed in the previous album with 9 tracks that draw a new route in his musical path while maintaining a very personal trademark, the result of 30 years of passion and total dedication to music. The album was entirely written and arranged in complete solitude by Antonio Tortorello (who also sings, plays bass, keyboards, synthesizers, guitars and percussion) during the lockdown in the spring of 2020. Recordings were attended by the trusted collaborators Costantino Mizzoni (guitars), Massimo Ceci (drums and percussion), Giulio Bozzo (trumpet), Damiano Drogheo (sax) who also played in ‘Season Premiere’.
