Exclusive video premiere of ‘Disorientation / Getting Lost’ by King Isxan taken from the upcoming album ‘Gishra L’anani’, out via Sound Effect Records.

Based in Tel Aviv, King Isχan are reinterpreting their roots of Mideastern culture. Fascinated by the broken metres and chromatic scales, they blend local sounds (from the ancient Maqams to the melodies of the ‘Eastern’ music scene that emerged in Israel in the 80’s) with fresh neo-psychedelic influences.

Their first single ‘Disorientation’ / ‘Getting Lost’ is the last part of a Mideastern ritualistic medley opening their debut album ‘Gishra L’anani’, which will be released on vinyl this upcoming summer on the Hellenic psych label, Sound-Effect Records. The track comprises repetitive, propulsive riffs, manifesting the thin line between the two states of mind enveloped in the title: helplessness and confident freedom.
