‘Monoxide’ by A.N.J.A. | “A fuzzy mix of garage and surf rock from Belfast”

Exclusive track premiere of ‘Monoxide’ by A.N.J.A., a Belfast based artist.

‘Monoxide’ will take you on a desert ride. Inspired by night stalking serial killers, Tarantino’s ‘Death Proof’ and her own unapologetic confidence, A.N.J.A. is the bad lady driver of your nightmares.

The idea for ‘Monoxide’ being born out of her anger over the helplessness of majoritively female victims in homicide cases, the singer switches roles and acts out her desires of empowerment. At the same time, the song remains light hearted and uplifting in the chorus. “You can read the lyrics to ‘Monoxide’ two ways. On the one hand, there is this mysterious abductor on the lookout for her next victim. On the other hand, it’s a song about fun, seduction and a sweet escape

Post punk artist A.N.J.A. brings a fuzzy mix of garage and surf rock to Belfast and beyond. The German born one woman rock machine revives 60’s garage rock while embracing a modern guitar based indie sound. She thrives on atmospheric storytelling and fierce feminine energy.
