‘Lay Lady Lady’ by New Love Crowd | “A Modern Reimagination of the Classic Dylan Track”

Exclusive video premiere of New Love Crowd performing a modern reimagination of the classic Bob Dylan track ‘Lady Lady Lady’.

New Love Crowd is the music/design project of Travis Swinford (responsible for Plains, formerly with Holy Youth, Drew Price, Dommel Mosel, Flower Girl).

New Love Crowd takes a lot of moods and lessons and puts them into one tripping body strolling down planet Earth street. The music is reminiscent of 60’s and 70’s pop that is unafraid to be beautiful, vulnerable and strong at once.

Swinford says, ‘Lay Lady Lay’ has been covered many times before and each time, some artist pulls something new out of it. The original is really simple and loosely performed on the record, yet there is so much room for interpretation and new ideas. It inspires me to write music that has a generative quality. It’s a fun song to play too.
