‘The Dream’ by Nada Dew
Exclusive video premiere of ‘The Dream’ by 17 year old Casablancian Nada Dew.
A fairy tale story of 17 year old Casablancian Nada Dew being signed by Berlin based label Duchess Box Records after submitting them music via submit hub. Full of ambition, talent, the craft of writing, playing all instruments and producing her own music from her bedroom in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
‘The Dream’ is the debut single, influenced by classic American indie rock as well as notable acts such as Depeche Mode and The Beatles.

Duchess Box Records who had big successes with the likes of Gurr and Sofia Portanet had never signed an artist via submit hub before…”We often look at our submissions and mostly we have a laugh at how bad they are but when I heard Nada Dew I instantly knew this was something we would be interested in without knowing anything about her age or the fact that she is based in Africa” Grant Box (Duchess Box Records)
Nada Dew began learning piano at the age of 9 and by 13 she was already writing her own songs. ‘The Dream’, which she wrote about growing up and enjoying being a teenager with her friends, was written and recorded on her bedroom computer using Garage Band and Logic Pro.
“I get inspired by my own life experiences and by my friends. Teenage is a phase that makes you feel a lot of different emotions so I try to express them through the music I make. It depends. Sometimes I start with the lyrics, sometimes with the melody but I usually do both at the same time.” Nada Dew
