Regent – “Lost In California”/“Returning To The Sun premiere”
Regent are excited to share not one but two new singles; ‘Lost in California’ and ‘Returning to the Sun’, the first snippets from their forthcoming album, due for release in summer 2018. The double A side will be available digitally from 11th May 2018, with a limited run of cassettes available to order via Regent’s Bandcamp.
“With these new tracks we really wanted to strip our sound back to the essentials, and focus on a direct approach to songwriting – one that emphasises melody and musicality.” The band explains. “After our first record, which was this big, conceptual piece, it just felt right to limit our pallette and make sure each individual track stood alone both sonically and lyrically.”
Formed in 2015 by childhood friends Martin Collins and Jonathan Youdale, Regent are a psychedelic rock band hailing from the north of England. Inspired by the music of the 60s and 70s, the duo back their dual guitars with a rotating cast of session players. The band released their debut album ‘Illusions’ in 2016.
