C’mon Tigre have shared ‘The Beautiful Glitch’, the latest track from their forthcoming album ‘LUMINA’, out October 2.

The song looks at the idea of error in a world increasingly shaped by machines, but the video takes that thought somewhere more interesting. It was made entirely in Unreal Engine and follows a group of artificial intelligences whose ordinary routine is interrupted when the system begins to fail.

There is a nice contradiction at the centre of it. The film imagines a highly technological future, but was made without using AI. Instead, the band and the people behind the video worked with more traditional digital techniques to build that world by hand.

That makes sense for a song like this. It’s not really about whether technology is good or bad. It’s more about what happens when everything starts getting too neat, too efficient and too certain. The title makes more sense in that context. The glitch is the thing that breaks the pattern.
