Brighton’s most chaotic trio Bones Ate Arfa are back with ‘Just Bananas,’ a six-track jolt of snarling guitars, scorched vocals, and enough low-end rumble to crack the pavement beneath your Doc Martens.

Released April 22nd, the EP marks the band’s most unapologetically loud and wired offering yet—equal parts feral energy and undeniable pop instinct.

Led by Arfa on bass and vocals, Bones on guitar, and 8 behind the kit, Bones Ate Arfa are building a cult following the old-fashioned way: gigging hard, sounding massive, and giving precisely zero damns about genre tags. They call it psychedelic-street-punk-desert-rock. We call it brilliant mayhem.

Recorded somewhere between a house party and a demolition site, Just Bananas fuses heavy, fuzz-drenched riffs with hooks that sneak into your bloodstream. Opener “Mud Lover” kicks down the door with a growling bassline and a sneer, while “Chew So Easy” (already earning radio traction) blends bratty melody with hurricane drumming. ‘Mary Molotov’ lives up to its name—volatile, unpredictable, and burning through its runtime like a Molotov cocktail lobbed into a DIY venue. The title track, ‘Just Bananas,’ is an unhinged mission statement that captures the band’s full-throttle, barely-contained live energy.

This spring, Bones Ate Arfa are taking ‘Just Bananas’ on the road, tearing through clubs and basements across the UK. Their festival schedule is just as stacked, with multiple appearances at The Great Escape and slots at Beach Dreams, Tramlines Fringe, and Big Tree Festival. If their tour is anything like their record, expect mayhem, sweat, and maybe a little blood.
