‘how far can you see?’ by Satan Is My Brother | Album Premiere
Exclusive album premiere of ‘how far can you see?’ by Satan Is My Brother, out February 25th, 2023 via Dissipatio Records.
This is a new journey for Satan Is My Brother. The band is back after eight years of silence with its fourth album, ‘how far can you see?’. Over forty minutes of ambient, dark-jazz and psychedelia which drag the listener into a burning, narcotic spiral: how far can you see? How far can you venture? In which direction? Far, more than you can see.
Satan Is My Brother brings to life a powerful and convoluted album summoning the band’s origins and venturing in an even more jagged and visionary land. The band’s debut, a self-titled album under the aegis of Boring Machines, was conceived as a soundtrack for a dark and imaginary endless night spent roaming the streets and the paranoias of metropolitan life. In the following years, the same label published two more albums, ‘A forest dark’ in 2011 and ‘They made us climb up here’ in 2015.

Through these works the band explored the synergies between music and images, shaping a dreamy blend of electronics, bass, drums, keyboards, saxophone and trombone, scoring visuals, performances and movies such as “Inferno” (1911) and Derek Jarman’s In the Shadow of the Sun, taking part in audio-visual festivals like Imago, Video Sound Art and Scirocco.
