Palm Ghosts Share New Single ‘Sear Zoning’ After Busy 2026 Run

Nashville indie rock band Palm Ghosts return with new single ‘Sear Zoning’, their latest release in what has already been a busy year.

The band’s sound sits between dream pop, post-punk and new wave, with bright guitars, dark synths and a strong sense of mood. They began 2026 with ‘God Help The Poor Billionaires’, a satirical song about corporate power, wealth and the strange state of modern America. Palm Ghosts called it the start of another year of monthly singles.

They followed that with ‘Walk Into Your New Life’, a song that drew praise from Atwood Magazine for the way it looked at modern life, advertising language and control. It showed the band’s sharper side: still melodic, but with a clear sense of unease underneath.

Older material has also found new life. Their single ‘Heavy Eyes’ was recently included in Season 3, Episode 4 of the Hulu series Tell Me Lies, bringing one of the band’s earlier songs back into circulation.

‘Sear Zoning’ continues that line of tense, atmospheric indie rock. Palm Ghosts are good at making songs that feel familiar at first, then slightly unsettled. Their music looks back to ’80s guitar bands and post-punk, but the subject matter stays close to the present.

The band will also play Summerfest in Milwaukee on 2 July 2026, appearing at 12:30 p.m. on the Uline Warehouse Stage, where the same day’s lineup also includes The Ocean Blue, Sister Hazel, Spin Doctors and Gin Blossoms.
