Atom Lux Shares ‘Weirdos From Teegarden B’ From Upcoming EP ‘Kamikaze Butterfly’
Italian psych rock act Atom Lux has released new single ‘Weirdos From Teegarden B’. The track is taken from the upcoming EP ‘Kamikaze Butterfly’, out 19 June 2026 via Octopus Rising.
Atom Lux is the project of Lucio Filizola, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and singer from southern Italy, now based in Rome. After earlier work in progressive rock, he started Atom Lux as a solo studio project in 2023, writing and recording from his home studio.
‘Weirdos From Teegarden B’ follows the strange story of alien outcasts from Teegarden b, a real confirmed exoplanet. In the song, they travel through space, loot planets, abduct people and collect humans as pets. The music fits the idea: fast, restless and full of psych-prog turns, with garage rock energy underneath.
The single continues Atom Lux’s move through psychedelic rock, prog, garage and alternative sounds. His debut album ‘Voidgaze Dopamine Salad’ came out in 2025, and the new EP pushes the project into sharper and heavier territory.
‘Kamikaze Butterfly’ is planned as a five-track EP and a step toward a second full-length album expected in 2027.
