A Clear New Path for The Memos on ‘Futures Ours To Find’
Liverpool group The Memos step into a new chapter with the release of their debut EP titled’ Futures Ours To Find’.
The band has been gathering attention for a sound with sharp instinct and a very sincere drive. The new collection makes that reputation feel earned. Across the EP, frontman Aaron Spencer leans into a mix of guitar centered indie and a clear love for classic nineties melodic gems. Some songs rush forward with bright full volume, while others settle into something more personal, built on quiet feeling and open hearted reflection.
Spencer describes the EP as a work rooted in ambition and belief. He explains that the songs circle themes of struggle, resistance, and the will to keep pushing, but they also hold a steady sense of hope. The heart of the project is a desire to trust your own direction even when the path feels uncertain.
The writing for the EP follows a period of growth that included creative work with Kyle Falconer of The View and Justin Hawkins of The Darkness. Recorded and produced by Ben Harper at The Motor Museum, ‘Futures Ours To Find’ arrives as a focused and confident step in Spencer’s artistic development. It presents The Memos as a group ready to rise past early promise into something far more fully formed.
