Strawberry Fuzz Drop ‘Miller’s Garage’ and It’s Pure Venice Chaos
Strawberry Fuzz are back with a new album and they’re not slowing down for anyone. If you’ve ever been caught in the wild energy of a Venice house show or stumbled out of a packed set at the Roxy wondering what just hit you, odds are you’ve already crossed paths with The Fuzz.
Now they’ve bottled that sweat-soaked madness into their third full-length, ‘Miller’s Garage,’ a sunburned, beer-stained love letter to the scene that raised them.
This crew: Colby Rodgers on vocals, Kris Miller shredding lead, Alex Arias holding it down on rhythm, Dashel Dupuy on bass, and Andy Warren smashing drums, knows how to throw a live show that feels more like a riot with a curfew. They’ve played just about every LA spot that matters, and usually leave a trail of broken gear and dazed fans behind. Venice West even banned them for a minute. Classic.
Now they’re heading out with the goddamn Buzzcocks (yes, those Buzzcocks) from April 30 to May 15, then rolling back into LA just in time to celebrate the album’s release on May 17 at Venice West. Summer residency starts that night!
Miller’s Garage rips. It lunges across genres but never loses the grit. Spray paint hissing under solos, drunk conversations buried in the mix, dirty riffs and melodic surprises… it’s a full-on ride through their warped version of LA. This thing breathes!!
If you thought they were just another garage punk band, ‘Miller’s Garage’ wants a word. Probably screamed into your face from two inches away.
