Exclusive album premiere of ‘Children of the Moon’ by Dorian Sorriaux, slated for release on June 14, 2024, via The Sign Records.

Former Blues Pills guitarist Dorian Sorriaux is set to release his first solo album under The Sign Records, drawing inspiration from ’60s and ’70s icons like Neil Young and Nick Drake. Embracing a blend of singer-songwriter and psychedelic folk vibes, Sorriaux’s new album promises to be a profound musical exploration.

The album, titled ‘Children of the Moon,’ features 10 captivating tracks recorded in Brittany, France, and showcases Sorriaux’s evolution as an artist. Mixed by Don Alsterberg and mastered by Hans Olsson in Sweden, the album exudes a rich, authentic sound.

Known for his role as the lead guitarist in the Swedish band Blues Pills, Sorriaux gained recognition with his debut EP ‘Hungry Ghost,’ which received rave reviews and led to a solo tour across Europe, opening for Myles Kennedy. With Children of the Moon, Sorriaux unveils a deeply personal style, drawing inspiration from legendary artists such as Van Morrison, John Martyn, Gene Clark, Pentangle, Crosby, Stills & Nash, George Harrison, and Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac.

Reflecting on the album’s title track, Sorriaux shares, “’Children of the Moon’ is the first song I wrote for the album. It’s a straightforward song with a few chords and a catchy melody that felt really special to me the moment I wrote it. This song is about remembering the child and the sacred within oneself, reconnecting with the happiness and innocence often lost as we grow into adulthood.”
