‘The Devil Waits For Me’ by Mario Lalli & The Rubber Snake Charmers | New Album, ‘Folklore From The Other Desert Cities’

Exclusive video premiere of ‘The Devil Waits For Me’ by Mario Lalli & The Rubber Snake Charmers, taken from the upcoming album, ‘Folklore From The Other Desert Cities,’ out March 29th via Heavy Psych Sounds.

Mario Lalli & The Rubber Snake Charmers began in 2010 with a focus on live psychedelic rock improvisation and sonic experimentation curated by desert rock pioneer Mario Lalli, featuring like minded musicians from all walks of the musical spectrum. The first release from this band of pioneering Desert rock musicians captures the band and its purest form exercising the desert born ethic and approach of rock improvisation, psychedelic and flowing, heavy and explorative.

‘The Devil Waits For Me’ is a shortened version of the album’s extended jam, and here’s what the band had to say about it: “Sean Wheeler backed by Mario Lalli’s Rubber Snake Charmers featuring Brant Bjork and Ryan Güt …on this track the band exercises the dormant desert demons with recollections of a colorful life baked in the Mojave Sun ….explosions of stream of consciousness tripping through low desert folklore.”

The foundation of Mario Lalli’s grooving-heavy bass lines and meditative themes with intuitive guitar work from Brant Bjork and percussions from Ryan Güt set the scene for Sean Wheeler’s captivating spoken word, capturing the dark and beautiful stories and images of life in the Mojave desert.

‘Folklore From The Other Desert Cities’ was recorded during an engaging live performance in Gold Coast during their recent Australian tour.
